Did you see this:

11:11:26,273 ERROR [MainDeployer] Could not initialise deployment: file:/C:/jboss-4.0.5.GA/server/default/deploy/jmx-console.war/
java.lang.OutOfMemoryError

You ran out of memory. What are your heap settings? How much RAM do you have? What are the memory requirements of your portlet? The default heap settings are sufficient to run the portal.
