today i have figured out to upgrade to 1.4.0sp3_cp02 on jboss 4.2.2GA,it seem works!

my step as following:

1 upgrade jboss-remoting 2.2.2-sp7-brew

2 replace jboss-messaging with we build

3 modify xxx-persistence-service.xml in jboss-messaging.sar dir
  it seems 1.4.0sp3_cp02 changed some sql statment(for example CREATE_IDX_MESSAGE_REF_MESSAGE_ID is not exist anymore),so need  copy new template in 1.4.0sp3_cp02 and modify to our owns
