I found out that this might be the following bug  https://issues.jboss.org/browse/EMBJOPR-300 https://issues.jboss.org/browse/EMBJOPR-300. I tryed to download the file richfaces-api-3.3.3.Final.jar and added it to the lib folder, restarted the server, but the exception remains.
