1) I don't believe eap5 works with java 7, but sure, I'll do what you suggest
2) It's an error as the user cannot complete / create the runtime / server without an appropriate jvm

4) In the runtime creation wizard, the combo box is loaded with valid jvms. The user is meant to select one. This method is called to fill the combo. So at this point in the workflow, there is no "actual jvm used / chosen" as the combo hasn't even been filled yet and the runtime hasn't been created yet.
