yes. at least when the project is built. i am not sure, but the validator runs at build time only, right?

at least in my specific cases i don't want the deployment to happen with at least errors, but that or the warning level could be configurable like plain java projects do.

i begin to suspect that we don't talk about the same things exactly, and that will be caused by me not knowing how tools internally works.
so, plain again: 
i get no indications that soemthing is wrong the with the project (be it in xhtml, jsp or java code). i can deploy it, but once i access the buggy part, jboss throws exceptions.
tools should inform me about possible or actual bugs before deploying. period.

if that's what you understood from my previous comments, everything is fine and it is just my little, tired brain not working correctly. :-)
if you now think, it is different to what i said before ... it might as well have been my tired little brain.
