Max Rydahl Andersen commented on JBDS-1056:
-------------------------------------------

Gary, I understand the value and we should definitely recognize the matching versions - i'm just saying that if you do it the way you are suggesting it will currently result in the SOA-P server type being hard to maintain for us within the current wtp framework.

It will also be impossible for users to deploy existing SOA P 4.3 projects to SOA-P 5 - is that really what you want ?

> When Creating an ESB Project, the customer of the SOA Platform 5 will need to know the underlying ESB Version. This ESB Version may not be obvious to the customer, since they had purchased the SOA-Platform and that version number may be the only version that they know about the product. The ESB version should be obtained by JBDS by the Target Runtime. The customer could select a SOA Platform as opposed to an EAP version.
