This patch provides the extension point and plugin.properties changes to implement a ModeShape capability that is disabled by default. 

To enable the capability, the user simply has to go to the Preferences and find the General->Capabilities page. The ModeShape category should appear. Check the box, click Apply and OK (or just OK) and the ModeShape functionality should appear. If unchecked (which is the default state), all views, preference pages, and menus are disabled.
