Nick Boldt commented on JBIDE-5319:
-----------------------------------
Have started working on a build for Teiid Designer 7.0.
Some early problems:
* Instead of depending on Eclipse 3.4/EM2.4, I see some plugins declare a dependency on EMF 2.5. This is fine since I plan to build against Eclipse 3.5 Ganymede first then move you up to depending on Eclipse 3.6 Helios.
* I cannot get org.teiid.designer.vdb.edit or org.teiid.designer.vdb.edit.test to compile in an Eclipse 3.5 workspace w/ WTP+UML2+EMF+XSD installed using OpenJDK6.
* Similarly, I cannot get org.teiid.designer.dqp, org.teiid.designer.dqp.test, or org.teiid.designer.dqp.ui to compile. Most of these appear to be related to access restrictions in com.metamatrix.common.config.api and com.metamatrix.common.config.model packages, or com.metamatrix.modeler.dqp pacakages.
* I cannot commit my releng project into your SVN repo, so I'll attach it as a patch here.
