I can't reproduce the problem using the JBT trunk, Seam 2.2.1.CR2 and JBoss As 5.1.0.GA.
Some older versions of JBT don't deploy jboss-seam.jar and *ds.xml correctly.

BTW, you should enter a Seam Maven version (2.2.1.CR2) on the JBoss M2 Capabilities page. This will be required until we fix JBIDE-7297.

Please create a new jira if you face a  deployment problem.
