Nick Boldt commented on JBIDE-9048:
-----------------------------------
Blocking UI? Slow disk access (NFS mounted drive) ? Insufficient memory allocated to testing?
Open to ideas for making this suck less. You can give more memory / longer timeout to the Maven process via the job configuration, or you can pass in alternate parameters to specific plugins via their pom.xml.

> Since May 26 (when I ran this job w/ tests disabled), VPE build takes over 4hrs to run.

> We used to have 219 tests; now we have only 11 (perhaps because they take too long, they timeout and fail).
> Could the long-running integration tests be split out from the short-running junits / bot tests?

> Or is a better solution to build & publish in this job, THEN run tests as a downstream job (or downstream job config within the same job, if we don't care about multiplatform testing) ?
