Max Rydahl Andersen commented on JBDS-2080:
-------------------------------------------

Burr - c'mon! Please read what we are writing :)

The universal installer is getting the option to choose 32 vs 64 bit and that is what we will work on and thus be able to remove the native installers as we agreed on earlier.

I see no point in us spending time optimizing the native ones if we end up with an universal one.

The only reason the native ones is still shown there is because you asked them to be there until we got this option in.

ok?

> On Windows & Linux,Java is often just a JRE - installed for other reasons - in some cases the end-user has not ever installed a JDK or does not remember where it is installed. The installer should block until it finds or is provided a proper JDK.
