btw. Eclipse Scout (https://dev.eclipse.org/svnroot/technology/org.eclipse.scout/scout.rt/branches/2011-Jun/org.eclipse.scout.net/src/org/eclipse/scout/net/NetActivator.java) also installs the EclipseAuthenticator when it's plugin gets started. The actually use their own copy EclipseAuthenticator.
