EXECUTE: Create CDI Project.
EXECUTE: Call project properties, select CDI Validator, and select 'Enable project specific settings'.
EXECUTE: Create an error, for example, an unsatisfied injection point.
EXECUTE: Call quick fix for warning.
ASSERT: Project Properties dialog appears, with selected preference.

Similar use-cases should be valid for other validators, not only CDI, since 'Configure Problem Severity' is a common feature.
