I have rebuilt both the PMD 3.2.6 (for JBT 4.0 / Juno) and PMD 4.0.0 (for JBT 4.1 / Kepler) mirrors on download.jboss.org and devstudio.jboss.com, filtering out the references to sourceforge.net from the metadata. 

Having done so, I cannot reproduce any of the installation problems, nor did I see anything in Eclipse suggesting that files were being downloaded from sourceforge.net, but rather from download.jboss.org. 

Steps to repro:

a) install JEE bundle (Juno SR2 or Kepler R)
b) install "JBoss Central Community" feature from either the JBT 4.0.1 stable site [1] or the JBT 4.1.0.Beta2 dev milestone site [2]
c) restart when prompted.
d) open the Progress monitor in Eclipse.
e) Fire up Central, switch to Software/Update tab, an select the PMD connector to install. Install.
f) watch the progress monitor for URLs being searched -- should only see download.jboss.org or eclipse.org (if those are enabled), but not sourceforge.
