Then I assume this is again only on mac - I saw it on two mac machines. I believe it is connected to the other issue - somehow the progress bar is way behind - for example you already downloaded 50 MB (looking at the system Activity Monitor), but the progress bar is very slowly getting there and I guess it will only act on the stopping once the progress bar reaches the reality.
