We should maybe simply start by asking eng-ops to perform the following operations:

cd /downloads_htdocs/tools
cp -r updates/requirements/*/ static/requirements
cp -r targetplatfroms/jbosstoolstarget/4.30.5.Alpha static/targetplatfroms/jbosstoolstargets
cp -r updates/JBoss* static/releases
{code}

So we have the copies already there and we can start giving try to using redirections to them with reduced risks.
