[~mmalina]  When testing this pull request, be sure to enter the new server wizard in ALL of the following ways:

1)  open server view, click hyperlink to create new server   (I expect this usecase may still fail)
2)  Open server view, right click, select new -> server
3)  File -> New -> Server

The bug (as explained upstream) seems to be due to clicking one hyperlink which opens a dialog and then the next hyperlink won't work.  So I expect that usecase 1 will still fail, but it'd be great if you could test all three.
