I'd like to point out that for CDK3 we moved back from Terminal view to Console view with the assumption that user input will no longer be needed. At least that was my understanding. See JBIDE-24587.
I had the impression that interaction/input was not supposed to work in Console view at all, can you comment on that, [~rob.stryker] ?
But now it seems we may actually need to support input of username and password in the console. One way or another we need to support at least the case of entering wrong credentials in Eclipse UI. [~rob.stryker], do you think there is a way to do this other than through the console?
