Jason Shepherd commented on JBWS-3147:
--------------------------------------

I tested this on the community edition 6.0.0.20100911-M5, and it is fixed in that release. Still having trouble isolating a smaller test case, as it seems to reside in jboss native code, which is making it difficult to debug.
I tested https://jira.jboss.org/browse/JBWS-2186 on EAP 5.0.1, and found that issue did not effect that release. There must be some other issue, which has been fixed upstream in the community edition that is related to this issue.

> Project: JBoss Web Services
> Issue Type: Bug
> Security Level: Public(Everyone can see)
> Affects Versions: jbossws-2.0.1.SP2
> Environment: Jboss EAP 5.0.1
> Spring WS 1.5.9
> JDK 1.6.0_18
> Reporter: Jason Shepherd
>
> Use of the default messageFactory (org.springframework.ws.soap.saaj.SaajSoapMessageFactory) for spring web services, and an AbstractDomPayloadEndpoint. Child nodes are not appended to a response.
> Switching to a org.springframework.ws.soap.axiom.AxiomSoapMessageFactory means child nodes are appended correclty.
> Various reports are that this does not occur on other Application Servers, only JBoss. While I have reproduced it using EAP 5.0.1, I have not tested this on other application servers.
