web.xml is not requied in Java EE 6. It sounds like the app didn't deploy. Could you put your server.log in a pastebin, and link it?

I am trying to run this application,But getting

HTTP Status 404 - /jboss-as-helloworld/HelloWorld

description The requested resource 
(/jboss-as-helloworld/HelloWorld) is not available.

Please let me know how to fix it.
Also i am not able to find web.xml file which should contains servlet mappings.
