Another concern is that the version of the Tomcat promoted in the Maven central is quite behind the latest stable.

For example the latest stable of Tomcat 7 is 7.0.35, and there is only 7.0.30 available.

Tomcat 6 is available from {{org.apache.juddi.bootstrap}}, and the promoted version is again older.

However I did md5 checksum of Tomcat 7.0.30 both from oficial mirror and maven central and it complies.
