[~bleathem] you suggested creating some test(s) for EhCache. Could you, please, give me some more details on what should be tested?

There are already [unit tests|https://github.com/richfaces/richfaces/blob/master/core/src/test/java/org/richfaces/cache/BaseCacheTest.java] which make sure the cache can be created and manipulated with. Other than that, this cache is usually used on lower app layers (database or service layers, to make the DB traffic as low as possible).
I went through the EhCache use cases but I cannot see the test case related to RF.
