[rules-users] Registered process variables...

Can you write a rule with a registered process variable in a constraint
without referencing it through WorkflowProcessInstance?

The examples in chapter 8 of the Drools Java Rules 5.0 Developers book he
seems to be doing that with the Loan object.... or am I missing something?
