[rules-users] Integration patterns for PHP and Drools?

I've inherited a legacy app that's built in PHP (i.e. LAMP/WAMP stack).  The
app has now evolved to the point that it's a good candidate for refactoring
the existing script-based rules in to a Drools repository.   Does the
community have any recommended coding and/or deployment patterns for calling
a Drools server from PHP app?   Experiences appreciated!
