Burr Sutter commented on JBESB-1199:
------------------------------------
I believe it should go to the DLQ when the DRL used by the CBR returns zero destinations.
At this moment, it is much to easy for a message to be lost.
rule "Routing Rule using XPATH"
when
xpathGreaterThan "/Order/@totalAmount", "50.0"
then
Log : "EXPRESS";
Destination : "express";
end
rule "Routing Rule using XPATH less"
when
xpathLessThan "/Order/@totalAmount", "50.0"
then
Log : "NORMAL";
Destination : "normal";
end
CBR behaves like a message filter on a zero hit

Key: JBESB-1199
URL:
http://jira.jboss.com/jira/browse/JBESB-1199
Project: JBoss ESB
Issue Type: Bug
Security Level: Public(Everyone can see)
Components: Content Based Routing
Affects Versions: 4.2.1 IR2
Reporter: Jaroslaw Kijanowski
Assigned To: Kurt Stam
Fix For: 4.2.1
When a message has been parsed and its content didn't allow to specify a destination,
for example, the "total amount" equals 50, but rules specify a destination if
"total amount" is greater than or less than 50, then there is no difference
between the Message Filter and CBR - the message is simply dropped.
Shouldn't, in case of using the CBR, such a message goes to the DLQ?
