Clearly define Message in relationship to development approach
--------------------------------------------------------------
Key: JBESB-816
URL:
http://jira.jboss.com/jira/browse/JBESB-816
Project: JBoss ESB
Issue Type: Feature Request
Security Level: Public(Everyone can see)
Components: Documentation
Affects Versions: 4.2 Milestone Release 3
Reporter: Mark Little
Assigned To: Mark Little
Fix For: 4.2.1
On behalf of our intern:
"The Message concept looks similar to Web Service envelope, with Body and Header.
Attachments too. But most people never play with the envelope directly: it's hidden by
APIs, e.g., JAX-WS or .NET veneers. In some cases you can't even get to the data
structure. But in others it's still available for advanced developers. The current ESB
documentation doesn't make it clear at what level the Message is aimed. I noticed that
there is no other abstraction (no client stub, for instance), so maybe all of the pieces
aren't there yet? If so, it should be mentioned so that developers know."
