Will this issue preserve the current Formatters.VERBOSE behaviour? I think the current
verbose format is useful, but it would be very useful to be able to list all contents
recursively as well, as described in the issue description. Maybe we could add a
Formatters.VERBOSE_RECURSIVE to the already existing SIMPLE and VERBOSE?

The current code in the pull request will change the verbose behavior and I'm not
really sure it makes too much sense to have two different verbose formatters. I'd
think that if you want something verbose, then you will prefer the recursive behavior.
It's basically only extending what you get, but it's not hiding anything.
