SAML would definitely work for your case so long as you don't
need a
token to make other REST invocations.

A bit off topic, do you think keycloak could eventually support
https://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc7522 which allows to exchange a SAML
assertion for an oauth2 token, or is it not really in the scope ?
