Hi,
I'm trying to understand the criteria RESTEasy uses for changing major versions. Is
it possible that future major versions will coincide with EE versions? (ie RESTEasy 7.0 -
EE11, 8.0 - EE12)? I'm assuming the answer to that is "no", but wanted to
ask.
The general rule is that if there are some major feature changes(to
support newer Jakarta REST spec for example), or major components
upgrade(EE9 upgrade for example), then we will upgrade the major
version of RESTEasy.
And the major version upgrade may contain changes that are not
compatible with previous lower major versions.
The RESTEasy major version may not be kept in sync with other spec
versions such as Jakarta REST or EE9.
Thanks
