Jan Papousek commented on ARQGRA-228:
-------------------------------------
A few decisions have to be made:
*1) Attribute and String Matcher*
{code}
waitGui().until().attribute(...).contains(...)
{code}
vs.
{code}
waitGui().until().attribute(...).value().contains(...)
{code}
*2) Attribute Access*
{code}
waitGui().until().element(element).attribute(attribute).isPresent();
{code}
vs.
{code}
waitGui().until().attribute(element, attribute).isPresent();
{code}
*3) Fail Message*
{code}
waitGui().until("Fail message").element(...).isPresent();
{code}
vs.
{code}
waitGui().failWith("Fail message").until().element(...).isPresent();
{code}
*4) Negation and String Matcher*
{code}
waitGui().until().element(...).not().text().contains(...);
{code}
vs.
{code}
waitGui().until().element(...).text().not().contains(...);
{code}
Waiting conditions improvements - string matchers, no-parameter
until()

Key: ARQGRA-228
URL:
https://issues.jboss.org/browse/ARQGRA-228
Project: Arquillian Graphene
Issue Type: Enhancement
Reporter: Lukáš Fryč
Assignee: Jan Papousek
Fix For: 2.0.0.Alpha3
Currently, we may write this code:
{code:java}
waitGui().until(element(autocompleteInput).textEquals("A"));
{code}
If we want to add condition for waiting for input's value, we would add
{{valueEquals}} method:
{code:java}
waitGui().until(element(autocompleteInput).valueEquals("A"));
{code}
But certainly, it would be best to use kind of value retrievers and their matchers with
following API:
{code:java}
waitGui().until(element(autocompleteInput).text().equalTo("A"));
waitGui().until(element(autocompleteInput).value().equalTo("A"));
waitGui().until(element(autocompleteInput).value().contains("A"));
waitGui().until(attribute(autocompleteInput, "color").equalTo("A"));
{code}
