EDIT: I think they _are_ actually different in terms of what they can do. But I still think it’s weird that something in the package {{org.hibernate.boot.spi}} is so specific to the JPA bootstrap process. It seems like either: * it should be in {{org.hibernate.jpa.boot.spi}}, or * it should be discoverable via Java service loading.
