I think messages have to be printed via ProcessingEnvironment.getMessenger(). At least
errors and warnings should be printed this way.
When it comes to debug/info messages (we are using Diagnostic.Kind.NOTE at the moment) we
might be able to use jdk logging. I am not sure though if it will work. I can have a
look.
