So apparently QuerySqmImpl overrides the inherited implementation of setLockOptions() , and, contrary to its documented semantics , does copy over the aliasSpecificLockModes , but only if at least one was set. This is actually a bit fragile, and it’s not what I would do, but at least it’s not as crazy as what I described above.
