If you did @ArquillianResource(JaxRSActivator.class) MyInterface restClient; REST extension could look for that application path (as found on that class) and leverage that as the base URI. If your JAXRSActivator was annotated @ApplicationPath("/rest") it would use rest. Otherwise it should default to /, since this is the default behavior of JAX-RS.
