It seems that @JoinColumn(nullable=false, insertable=false) on overridden getter would
work around this. But this screws up the OO design.
cant bind a child using mappedby relating to a parent
attribute(polymorphism)

it gives the error mission property:
javax.persistence.PersistenceException: org.hibernate.AnnotationException: mappedBy
reference an unknown target entity property:
