I am using HibernateTools-3.2.0.beta9a.zip and ran into this exact problem. I assumed the
directory would be created if it didn't exist, as I was still able to run the tool. I
also got the mysterious null pointer exception. IMO, the tool shouldn't be allowed to
run if the folder doesn't exist, or the exception should be caught, and a more
meaningful error reported to the user.
