Ok, turns out my architecture seems to be less loose coupled than I thougt. It turns out
the problem only occurs in my tests, since I never delete anywhere else.
I was able to fix it by changing the order in which I delete entities and by removing some
cascade.all s ...
I can't get the problem reproduced in any simple setting I though may be the reason.
I'm sorry. Maybe I find some time later on this week...

I'm getting a NullPointerException on line 47 of
EnversPreCollectionRemoveEventListenerImpl very consistently. I wasn't sure if it was
due to lazy collections or not, but it seems that it fails if they're eagerly fetched
or lazily fetched. I'm guessing it has something to do with getLoadedPersister()
returning a null value since the comments for it say "This is only available late
during the flush cycle". The stack trace is
