@Adam I was trying to do that for many hours but still can't create simple (or even
complex) test case which can be included here. Our domain model is about 150++ classes and
we use most of the features of Hibernate mappings, I can't narrow the problem down.
I gave a honest attempt to create this test case ...
I hope someone will be able to create this test case.

I'm getting a NullPointerException on line 47 of
EnversPreCollectionRemoveEventListenerImpl very consistently. I wasn't sure if it was
due to lazy collections or not, but it seems that it fails if they're eagerly fetched
or lazily fetched. I'm guessing it has something to do with getLoadedPersister()
returning a null value since the comments for it say "This is only available late
during the flush cycle". The stack trace is
