The usecase would conditional validation based on the state of the object (see forum thread as example). I guess you could also use class level validators, but you could not use this with built-in constraints and you are placing the constraint on class level and not on the affected property. Using HV _@ScriptAssert_ could maybe be used in some cases. Introducing opens up another approach to conditional validation.
