Fix is easy: Line 132 of EnumType.java, method nullSafeGet, change: return Enum.valueOf( enumClass, name ); to return Enum.valueOf( enumClass, name.trim() ); Which should be perfectly logical, because spaces are illegal in enum names anyways.
