Steve Ebersole commented on HHH-3125:
-------------------------------------
BigDecimal with a scale of 0 would approximate an integer (zero significant digits right
of the decimal).
Floating point values as a PK makes zero sense. JDBC type mapping suggests that both
DECIMAL and NUMERIC SQL types be mapped to BigDecimal which is why the driver is reporting
them that way. Really these columns should be defined as INTEGER or BIGINT which are the
SQL defined integer datatypes.

----------------------------------------------------
Key: HHH-3125
URL:
http://opensource.atlassian.com/projects/hibernate/browse/HHH-3125
Project: Hibernate Core
Issue Type: New Feature
Environment: Hibernate 3.2, Oracle 10

Currently with using BigDecimal as entity id is thrown exception " this id generator
generates long, integer, short or string" - class
"IdentifierGeneratorFactory".
Is there possibility to add BigDecimal support for id generator?
