[JBoss JIRA] Updated: (WELDX-23) Support servlet injection on Jetty
by Matija Mazi (JIRA)
Matija Mazi updated WELDX-23:
-----------------------------
Attachment: jetty-injection.patch
jetty-web.xml
I've improved the Jetty injection support (jetty-injection.patch v.4.).
To use it, just package the app as you would normally for Jetty (see Weld docs) and add the attached jetty-web.xml to the WAR's WEB-INF.
Note that there is no more any need to add the jetty-support.jar (or sevlet-support.jar or any other jar) to jetty/lib, and no need to add the xml to jetty/context. Everything you need is packaged in the WAR.
There is still no support for injection into Listeners.

[JBoss JIRA] Commented: (WELD-26) Add database support to login example
by Rob van den Bogaard (JIRA)
Rob van den Bogaard commented on WELD-26:
-----------------------------------------
For my employer and my own education (starting with Seam/Weld and returning to Java after several years of C++ and Ruby on Rails) I'm trying to add database support to this example.
Currently it looks promising: added the persistence ingredients and a simple registration page to fill the database, but it's not working yet, because it doesn't seem to actually save things in the database (only in the persistence session, so somewhere/somehow a commit/flush is missing). I should dive back into the persistence chapters of my Seam 2 in Action book, while wondering if it does still contain the best practices, regarding all the changes and the maturing of Weld (which totally rocks)...
I'm open to share the code.

[JBoss JIRA] Created: (WELDX-82) Wrong faces message displayed when submitting form with empty values in weld-jsf-servlet-minimal
by Martin Gencur (JIRA)
Wrong faces message displayed when submitting form with empty values in weld-jsf-servlet-minimal
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Key: WELDX-82
URL: https://jira.jboss.org/jira/browse/WELDX-82
Project: Weld Extensions
Issue Type: Bug
Components: Archetypes
Affects Versions: Archetypes 1.0.0.Beta1
Reporter: Martin Gencur
Priority: Minor
When submitting empty form in generated project from archetype weld-jsf-servlet-minimal a wrong faces message is displayed (should be "may not be empty" but is "numeric value out of bounds ...") next to the second intput field. And the following message is displayed at console:
INFO: WARNING: FacesMessage(s) have been enqueued, but may not have been displayed.
sourceId=bv:numbers[severity=(ERROR 2), summary=(may not be empty), detail=(may not be empty)]
When I try it with version 1.0.0-SNAPSHOT the right message is displayed in the wrong place (somewhere at the bottom-left corner instead of next to input field)
This bug is probably present also in weld-jsf-jee-minimal type of project.
