Dan Berindei updated ISPN-1892:
-------------------------------
Status: Pull Request Sent (was: Open)
Git Pull Request:
https://github.com/infinispan/infinispan/pull/984
Fixing only on the 5.1.x, on the 5.2.x branch we can go ahead testing UNICAST2 even though
we don't use RSVP yet.
Revert to UNICAST where RSVP is not supported
---------------------------------------------
Key: ISPN-1892
URL:
https://issues.jboss.org/browse/ISPN-1892
Project: Infinispan
Issue Type: Enhancement
Components: State transfer
Affects Versions: 5.1.1.FINAL, 5.1.2.CR1
Reporter: Dan Berindei
Assignee: Dan Berindei
Labels: jgroups_tuning
Fix For: 5.1.2.FINAL
This is related to ISPN-1879. UNICAST2 without RSVP behaves quite badly when there are
multiple senders and a single joiner, see ISPN-1838.
UNICAST2 + RSVP doesn't seem to perform much better than UNICAST, so rather than
backporting RSVP to the JGroups 3.0.x branch it's probably safer to revert to UNICAST
in the default Infinispan configuration.
