I think the idea with a hash is nice, as it is quick and I'd expect most of the users
to configure cluster correctly, so no point sending the entire config around at boot time.
But if there are differences, it might make sense to do some more work and point out
exactly what the problem is( especially if the custom config is large).

Indeed Mircea. Sending and figuring out the differences would only be carried out if the
checksums/hashes diverge.
