An easy way to fix it is to allow DELETE or ORPHAN_REMOVAL value in cascade values and then append orphanRemoval=true in the generated annotation right after the cascadeType property in org.hibernate.tool.hbm2x.pojo.EntityPOJOClass.generateCollectionAnnotation.
