Most of the tests in EntityManager extends a test case which automatically sets this property. The test ProgrammaticConfTest also contains a method which explicitly sets this property, but this method is not being called. Either this test needs to call the getProperties() or the hibernate.properties must contain the property. In the branch v3_4_0_GA_CP, this property is set in the template of hibernate.properties.
