I looked at your solution Brandon, but it has some weakness when: - sorting is not mandatory - more than one Entity type is returned (the first sorting is selected arbitrarily) I think Hardy's solution with a query.setSort() is more appropriate to adjust between sorting usecases (Sorting like querying is a dynamic setting by nature).
