We might also consider to publish API change reports generated by JDiff
(http://www.jdiff.org/). I ran it locally to see what changed from 4.0.2 to 4.1 and from
4.1 to 4.2. The result looks promising and I think this would be a valuable information
for users considering upgrading to a new version.

The reference guide should make clear, which HV packages are public and which ones not.
Also some rules for evolvement of the public packages should be specified.
The packages comprising the programmatic configuration API should be part of the
generated OSGi manifest.
