Looks like when a component is generic we fail to correctly register properties defined in the @Embeddable ’s superclass(es) for the static JPA metamodel, causing the NPE you’re encountering. This was probably introduced since version 6.2.3.Final, more specifically in https://hibernate.atlassian.net/browse/HHH-16491.
