Nor does the codehaus hibernate3 plugin... Second, core does in fact currently have the hbm2ddl tasks as well. The decision to keep that stuff in core, afair, was so that we could do the hbm2ddl/auto processing from SessionFactory startup. To me, there is no need to have the actual ant tasks themselves be where they are so long as we have a well defined API.
